Botnia’s research and development activities are closely linked to our grade specialisation.
Our product development work is always based on what the customer needs -- on improving the characteristics of the customer's paper and board through the development of just the right grade of pulp.
In developing pulp that performs well in the customer’s process, it is important to know how pulp behaves in different fibre mixtures. We act in close co-operation with a large number of important research institutes and universities in order to aid our research and development efforts even further.
Botnia's Business Development acts as coordinator for all of Botnia's internal and external R&D activities at the mills and various other organizations. Our fibre technology experts are placed at different mills.
