The Rauma mill went on stream in 1996, and it was the first mill in the world built solely for the production of chlorine-free TCF pulp. Even though the mill was built and started up as a separate company, it has always been an integral part of the Botnia pulp group.
The Rauma mill changed its bleaching system from TCF to ECF in summer 2007.
